Mataram, January 25th, 2024 – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education of University of Mataram has successfully held a pre-service teaching practice (PPL) training 1 for students of the 1st Batch of Pre-Service Teacher Professional Education (PPG Prajab) Program of 2024. The main aim of this event is to prepare students to face PPL in schools in Mataram Municipality.

In the report, the Head of the PPG Prajab Program, Dr. H. Dadi Setiadi, M.Sc., emphasized that PPL participants will be assigned to the best schools carefully selected to provide the best experience. The duration of this PPL includes 6 credits on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The participants are expected to complete assignments in the Learning Management System (LMS) on Saturday and Sunday. Success in PPL is highly dependent on the understanding of the PPL guidelines, and participants equipped with the required materials.

Speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Sc., Ph.D., emphasized that being a teacher is not a simple task. Teachers must have a variety of effective learning strategies and adhere to guidelines and rules with high discipline. Teacher integrity and ethics are considered irreplaceable foundations of the profession. Seriousness in mastering learning content is also considered a strong foundation for providing in-depth understanding to students.

These messages are the starting point for PPG Prajab of Mathematics Study Program students in building a solid foundation as dedicated and competent educators. The event closed with a prayer recited by one of the PPG Prajab students, providing encouragement and blessings on their PPL journey.
