Mataram, January 17th, 2024 – As an effort to improve the quality of the Pre-Service PPG (Prajab) in 2024, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of University of Mataram held a Training Training for lecturers, admins and tutor teachers of the Pre-Service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) program. This event was held on January 17, 2024, involving key speakers, including the Dean of FKIP Unram, the Head of the PPG Study Program, and the Head of the Faculty Quality Assurance Group (GPMF).

In his speech, Dr. Sasprizal Hadisaputra, representing the Dean of FKIP Unram, conveyed the urgency of this training as a first step in preparing civil service teachers and lecturers to face the new class of Pre-Service PPG. “This training is designed as a vehicle for lecturers, admins and teachers of the Pre-Service PPG program to explore national policies related to Pre-Service PPG and formulate preparation strategies for facing the new class in 2024,” he said.

Head of the PPG Study Program, Dr. Dadi Setiadi, explained that this training focused on discussing the latest national policies regarding Pre-Service PPG. “Changes and developments in education policy need to be anticipated by educators. “In this training, we will discuss in depth the latest national policies that are relevant to Pre-Service PPG, so that all parties involved can work together in welcoming the future of education,” said Dr. Father.

This training is not only a forum for conveying information, but also as a means of discussion and joint strategy formulation. Participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and discuss matters that still required further understanding. This is expected to create deeper understanding and uniformity of views among educators.

At the end of the event, training participants were given the task of designing a preparation plan for the new class of Pre-Service PPG students in 2024. This plan will become the basis for more effective and efficient implementation steps for the Pre-Service PPG program in the future. With a spirit of togetherness and determination to improve the quality of education, it is hoped that the next generation produced from Pre-Service PPG will be able to become educators with integrity, quality, and ready to face future challenges.
